The Society for Economics Research in India (SERI) is pleased to announce a call for papers for its Fourth Annual Conference dedicated to doctoral students based in India. The SERI-D conference aims to offer a platform for advanced graduate students to present complete papers for focused feedback and inputs that will enable them to take these to publication in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals. We welcome papers from all fields of economics. Women and minority candidates are especially encouraged to submit. Graduate students enrolled in non-economics departments who are working on topics in economics are welcome to apply.


Conference Dates: February 5-6, 2025


Conference Venue: Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Delhi


Submission Deadline: December 24, 2024, 11:59 p.m. IST

Paper Selection Announcement: January 4, 2025


Format: Each paper presentation will be 45-50 minutes, followed by a detailed discussion led by a faculty member or senior researcher.


Eligibility: Doctoral students registered in Indian universities.


Travel Support & Accommodation:
• Selected presenters will be reimbursed for round-trip train fare upon submission of a copy of the ticket during the conference.
• ISI Delhi will provide accommodation to the selected presenters in the institute guest house for the period February 4-6, 2025.


Instructions:
• Papers should be in PDF format and should include any supplementary materials essential for a fuller understanding and appreciation of the paper.
• All materials should be merged into a single PDF file and named as: <<SURNAME_INSTITUTION>>.pdf.
• Paper presented in previous SERI-D Workshops will not be considered for SERI-D 2025.
